I recently went to my local pets at home store to find a small skinny syrian female hamster that had been abused by its previous owner at only 6-8 weeks old .They had damaged one of her little finger’s causing it to drop off and leave a nasty cut and infection .I adpoted percy and i am taking great care of her , she went to vets when i first  got her and she got given anti biotics and idoine drops which was paided back fully by pets at home which was very good as the bill was not cheap at all .Shes now a happy healthy fun loving hamster whos got a new lease of life.

Met Office officials predict temperatures to go above 31°C in the UK, so make sure your hamster cage is well ventilated and away from direct sunlight as soaring temperatures could prove fatal if your little hamster’s get over heated .Make sure you give them fresh cold water once a day during peak heat .Don’t forget to put your hamster in there exercise ball, As this will cool them down but only for short periods of time as they will get thirst and hungry. Last of all enjoy the summer safely xx
