Behaviour

Its important to you as an owner that your can understand your own hamster body language ,this should help you to acknowlegde what your hamster is feeling or if its ill.

The different types or body language or behaviour you might see from your hamster are as follows :

Standing on its back legs with ear alert shows your hamster is interest ,curious or may scared if its heard something it dont recognize.

Grooming itself to keep its self clean or is a sign of nerves if over doing it .

Licking itself to clean its body or may be very nervous or scared.

Gnawing its bar or other things in its cage if its bored ,try adding different toys.

Side rubbing is a way of marking there territory or it a female does it normally means it will accept a male for mating purposes.

If your hamster is scratching or digging this may mean your hamster feels threatned and wants to hide away from whats scareing it .

Eat dropping is normal do not be alarmed it so your hamster gets all the vitamins it needs.

Racing around with high speed means your hamster is bursting with energy .

Back flips show your hamster is happy and energetic.
